For the purposes of billing under MPS's tariff the following definitions apply:

Hourly On-Peak:  Hours ending 0700 through 2200 (Central Time) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; except those occurrences where an approved holiday falls on that day

Hourly Off-Peak:  Hours ending 2300 through 0600 (Central Time) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  All 24 hours for Saturdays, Sundays, and approved holidays

Daily On-Peak:  Mondays,  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; except those occurrences where an approved holiday falls on that day

Daily Off-Peak:   Saturdays, Sundays, and approved holidays

Approved Holidays:

New Years Day - January 1 (observed January 2 in the event that January 1 falls on a Sunday)
Memorial Day - Last Monday in May
Independence Day - July 4 (observed July 5 in the event that July 4 falls on a Sunday)
Labor Day - First Monday in September
Thanksgiving Day - Fourth Thursday in November
Christmas Day - December 25 (observed December 26 in the event that December 25 falls on a Sunday)

Reserving Across Multiple On-Peak and Off-Peak Periods

MPS does not make distinctions between "on-peak" and "off-peak" periods when defining service types.  Service types which contain different pricing for "on-peak" and "off-peak" periods are posted for the "full-period".  When making transmission reservations for schedules that span different pricing for "off-peak" and "on-peak" periods, the customer should make reservations using the schedule type listed with "full-period".  The customer will be billed appropriately with "off-peak" prices for those portions of the schedule that are "off-peak" and "on-peak" prices for those portions of the schedule that are "on-peak".
