CONGESTION AND MARKET TESTING ON JUNE 21, 2006

SPP is conducting a deployment test on June 21, 2006 from 1200 to 1400 CPT. Conditions appear favorable for the SPP region to experience congestion during the deployment test. Should congestion occur, SPP will activate constraints on its system in parallel with requesting transmission loading relief (TLR). Should SPP anticipate the need to implement firm schedule curtailments during the test (TLR Level 5), SPP will coordinate termination of the test prior to issuing firm curtailments.
