Westar Energy Open Access Transmission Tariff
Beginning February 1, 2000, Westar Energy has transferred its transmission facilities to the SWPP Regional Transmission tariff for all new point-to-point and network service. All transmission service must be requested through the SWPP under the terms of the regional tariff. The Western Resources Open Access tariff is presented here for informational purposes and for transmission customers who have previously purchased transmission service under the Western Resources OA tariff.
Westar Energy Transmission Open Access Registration
Westar Energy has placed its transmission facilities under the SWPP regional tariff. The company, therefore, has discontinued accepting new requests to purchase transmission service or any new umbrella agreements under its Open Access tariff . All requests for transmission service must be purchased through the SWPP OASIS. New customers must make application to the SWPP to purchase transmission service under its tariff.
Requests for redirection of existing long term firm and imports of power for existing network load should follow the appropriate procedures in the Westar Energy Open Access tariff and send the requests to Westar Energy Transmission Services using the WR OASIS.
