Each year, pursuant to the Commission's Order, Westar Energy posts the update to its Transmission Service Formula Rate.

Formula Rate Updates:
May 23, 2008 - After the customer meeting, two data entry errors were discovered in the formula. The first having to do with the rate of depreciation used in calculating the Net Plant values for the Base Plan Funded Projects and the amount of expenses related to Westar's System Control costs (Account 561 related to Ancillary 1-SC). The net effect of the changes reduce the Net Revenue Requirement by about $1.2 million. The revised values are the ones SPP will be using for billing starting June 1, 2008.

May 15, 2008 - The results from updating the FERC approved formula in Docket No. ER08-396 are effective starting June 1, 2008 subject to refund. Input data to the formula is based on the 2007 Form 1 for Westar Energy and KGE as well as projected plant additions through 2008..
Formula Updates:
Effective starting June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009. The results from this update includes the change in revenue requirements as a result of Docket No. ER08-192 which was established a common capital structure between Westar Energy and KGE.
